Lighting companies must pay close attention to the implementation of ballast CCC standard version

Electronic ballasts are mature, reliable and cost-effective light fittings, with significant advantages. The use of electronic ballasts in the heart of the entire lighting system is well-deserved. With the requirements of light sources, energy saving and environmental protection requirements, higher requirements will be put forward for the adaptability of electronic ballasts.

On the afternoon of April 21st, China Quality Certification Center, Guangdong Product Quality Supervision, Inspection and Research Institute and Guzhen Town jointly organized the Ballast CCC Standard Edition Analysis Meeting to help companies timely master ballast CCC certification renewal requirements. Xing Heping, Director of Product Certification Department of China Quality Certification Center, Hu Nanqian, Director of Guangdong Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Institute, relevant leaders of Guzhen Town, and over 100 lighting company chiefs attended the meeting.

Since December 1, 2010, ballast products have implemented a new version of the standard, and the standard requirements have changed significantly from before. Ballast CCC certification standards used GB19510.1-2009, GB19510.4-2009, GB19510.9-2009 and GB19510.10-2009 respectively replace the old standard GB19510.1-2004, GB19510.4-2005, GB19510. 9-2004 and GB19510.10-2004. It is understood that the old standard CCC certification must be completed before December 1, 2011. If there is no change in the expiration date, the old standard certificate will be suspended. The suspension period is 3 months, and the expiration will be revoked. The 34th Announcement of the National Certification and Accreditation Regulatory Commission issued a policy basis for this.

In order to successfully complete the renewal task, the China Quality Certification Center has held two related meetings in Ningbo and Beijing, and announced the ballast unit division principle, thus avoiding the application of a ballast, and different testing agencies may be different. The conclusion of the test. Taking into account the characteristics of ballasts, in addition to the main inspection and differential inspection products, the Center requested that each of the other products in the application unit be sent to the inspection station for confirmation, and there should be a list of photos and parts for each product. In order to prevent ballasts from interoperating with different light sources, especially fluorescent lamp electronic ballasts, it is required to specify the type of light source that the product is suitable for. Because the revision of the ballast certificate will inevitably affect the consistency of the lamp manufacturer's products, if the company's product is affected during the inspection, a ballast change application may be submitted.

According to reports, the domestic electronic ballast market is not optimistic. In the sampling of energy-saving lamps throughout the country, the electronic ballast harmonics accounted for a considerable percentage of unqualified. Some companies have the ability to produce products that meet the standards, but the quality of the products submitted for inspection and the quality of the products sold in large quantities are in stark contrast. Some companies do not even have the core technology to produce qualified products and can only go to other companies to buy. Products, affixed to the company's label to send inspection, after obtaining CCC certification, and then mass production of inferior products for sale. The purpose of doing business is nothing more than to reduce costs and increase profits. Therefore, despite the completion of relevant national standards, due to the lack of effective post-regulation and strict enforcement, inferior electronic ballasts still flood the market.

After the release of the new standard, the CCC certification system for electronic ballasts is basically complete, and regulations on electromagnetic radiation and harmonics are also quite strict. The industry believes that it is basically the same as that of developed countries in Europe. If the electronic ballast products on the market can meet the requirements of national standards, the negative impact can be minimized. In the electronic ballast technology research and development, the domestic market in terms of quality requirements is still lower than Europe and the United States, but also gradually move closer to the European and American markets. The close proximity of the domestic market to European and North American standards is only a matter of time. In this process, insisting on quality requirements will surely bring some gains.
