If the introduction of a carbon tax together with a country's plan to produce 20% of its electricity from renewable energy sources, by 2020, Australian electricity prices may rise by 121%, Australian Financial Review cited a report from Deloitte's Visiting Economics said. The newspaper said that the report was commissioned by the Australian Energy Users Association and will be announced today.
