Danfoss frequency converters offer two different methods for performing a factory reset. The first method is as follows:

  1. Turn off the main power supply and wait until the display turns off completely.
  2. During the power-up sequence, press and hold the [Status], [Main Menu], and [OK] buttons on the LCP 102 panel.
  3. Keep these buttons pressed for about 5 seconds before releasing them.
  4. After this, the drive will be restored to its default factory settings.

When using this method, most parameters are set back to their original values, with the exception of some key operational parameters such as P15-00 (runtime), P15-03 (frequency), P15-04 (over-temperature), and P15-05 (over-voltage). These remain unchanged after the initialization process.

The second method involves accessing the configuration menu directly:

  1. Navigate to parameter 14-22 and set it to "Working Mode".
  2. Press the [OK] button to confirm your selection.
  3. Choose the option labeled "Initialize" from the menu.
  4. Confirm by pressing [OK] again.
  5. Turn off the main power supply and wait for the display to fully shut down.
  6. Reconnect the main power and restart the system.

This method resets all parameters except for those related to communication protocols, such as P8-30, P8-31, P8-32, P8-35, P8-36, and P8-37. It also retains settings for P14-50 (RFI filter), P15-00 to P15-05 (runtime and over-voltage/over-frequency), and P15-20 to P15-22 (event records) as well as P15-30 to P15-32 (error code and alarm log). All other parameters will be reset to their default values.

It’s important to note that both methods can be used depending on your specific needs. The first method is ideal if you want a quick reset without diving into the configuration menu, while the second provides more control and is useful when setting up the drive for a new application or troubleshooting.
