Analysis of the development of pressure sensor industry in China

At present, the development of China's pressure sensor market is mainly influenced by the technological aspects and the ability of the enterprise within the industry to restrict the rapid development of the industry in China.

First of all, in terms of technology, the technical insufficiency of pressure sensors in China is reflected in the following aspects:

(1) Poor product reliability The research on basic technologies and manufacturing processes is not sufficient. Some key technologies that affect reliability, such as precision machining technology, sealing technology, and welding technology, have not been well understood yet. In particular, the main reasons for the lack of stable and reliable performance of high-end products. The reliability index of existing domestic high-end products is roughly 1-2 orders of magnitude worse than foreign products.

(2) The performance and function of the product are backward, and the existing domestic products must differ by one order of magnitude from the foreign product in measurement accuracy. In terms of functionality, the current level of intelligence in foreign products is already quite high. Through digital processing of the original information, they better rule out the influence of external interference on the information, thereby improving the product's environmental resistance and measurement of authenticity. The level of intelligence in existing domestic products is still relatively low. In addition, the networking of products has entered a practical stage in foreign countries, and China is basically still in its infancy.

(3) The product technology update cycle is slow. At present, the update cycle of foreign products is approximately 2-3 years. The reserves of new technologies can often be advanced to ten years. However, Chinese companies often introduce new technologies to upgrade their first-generation products. After introduction, they cannot be properly digested and absorbed. There are few original results in the development of new products. Some products that adopt new principles are still in a blank state in China. Although the research institutes have made achievements in tracking new technologies, it has been very difficult to integrate products with enterprises.

(4) There is a lack of dedicated solutions developed for use. The development trend of foreign pressure sensors in recent years is to develop software products that are closely related to or related to their application objects, and ultimately provide users with personalized solutions. Chinese enterprises have not yet formed industries in this respect.

Secondly, in the aspect of the comprehensive strength of enterprises, enterprises in our industry have the following deficiencies:

(1) The scale of the industry is small, and the total output value of the pressure sensor industry in China is relatively low. At present, the vast majority of enterprises in China's pressure sensor industry are small and medium-sized enterprises. There is a lack of "flagship" enterprises with strong comprehensive strength in the industry. The single product market of domestic enterprises has strong operational power but lacks comprehensive strength. At the same time, it can compete with foreign multinational groups in the market in terms of manpower and financial resources. Therefore, it is in a weak position in market competition.

(2) The labor productivity of the company is low. Because the pressure sensor industry is a high-tech industry, the role of the low labor force is not obvious. In addition, the management level of domestic enterprises is generally lower than that of international companies. Therefore, enterprises that produce high-tech products have much lower labor productivity than foreign companies.

(3) The investment in corporate technology development is generally insufficient. Since almost all enterprises in the pressure sensor industry in China are small and medium-sized enterprises, neither sufficient human nor financial resources can support sufficient long-term investment in technological innovation. Therefore, the investment in product R&D is slightly insufficient. At present, in terms of the global pressure sensor industry, average product R&D investment accounts for 10% of sales, while China only accounts for 3%.
