New models of Vishay OSOP series SMD dual in-line thin film network resistors with higher precision

Vishay Intertechnology has recently launched new 16-pin and 24-pin versions of its OSOP series surface mount dual in-line thin film network resistors. These new devices are designed to meet the JEDEC MO-137 variation AB and AE standards, offering enhanced performance and reliability for high-precision applications. Vishay Dale’s thin film network resistors are available in both isolated and shared final pin configurations, with a tight resistance tolerance of ±0.025% and a low TCR of ±5ppm/°C, making them ideal for demanding environments where accuracy is critical. The newly released resistor networks feature a 25-mil pitch, which reduces board space by 50% compared to standard devices. With a maximum height of 1.73mm, they are perfect for precision voltage dividers and operational amplifiers used in telecommunications, industrial control systems, medical equipment, and other high-performance applications. In isolated configurations, the 16-pin and 24-pin networks include 8 or 12 resistors, each ranging from 500Ω to 100kΩ with a power rating of 100mW. In shared pin designs, there are seven or eleven resistors. The construction uses a durable molded case without solder paste, ensuring long-term stability and reliability. The absolute TCR is ±25ppm/°C, and the resistance ratio remains stable at ±0.015% over 2000 hours at 70°C. These resistors also offer excellent noise performance, with noise levels below -30dB, and a voltage coefficient of less than 0.1ppm/V. They operate across a wide temperature range, from -55°C to +125°C. The OSOP series is RoHS compliant and free from halogens, meeting modern environmental standards. Samples are currently available, and the components are in full production. Lead times for larger orders range from five to ten weeks, making it easy for engineers to integrate these high-performance resistors into their next design.
