Portable pico projectors have gained popularity among users due to their compact design and convenient portability, securing a notable place in the market. Recently, LG officially launched the HF85JG home projector in Japan, claiming it as the world's shortest focal length projector. With just 20cm of distance, it can project a stunning 120-inch screen.
The LG HF85JG features a compact structure with dimensions of 118 x 353 x 193mm and weighs only 3kg. This ultra-short throw projector uses a reflective lens system, allowing it to project a 90-inch high-definition screen from just 8cm away and a 120-inch image at 20cm. Its flexible placement makes it ideal for small spaces or unique setups.
Equipped with Texas Instruments' ProBeam series laser light source and a monolithic DLP chip, the HF85JG delivers native 1080p resolution and 1500 lumens of brightness. The laser light source ensures a long lifespan—up to 13 years if used for 4 hours daily. Additionally, the built-in 9000mAh battery allows for wireless mobility, while USB-C connectivity supports both screen mirroring and charging.
The projector also includes 3W x 2 stereo speakers, offering decent audio quality without the need for external speakers. In terms of connectivity, it comes with HDMI, USB, optical audio input/output, a headphone jack, and LAN ports, making it highly versatile compared to typical micro-projectors.
