Grasping cloud computing changes: domestic servers dominate the world

In addition to making significant progress in the consumer PC market, domestic manufacturers have also shown strong performance in the server sector. According to the latest data from Gartner, a leading market research firm, Inspur ranked among the top globally in cloud server sales during the third quarter of 2017. This marks a major milestone for Chinese companies in the international server market. The report also revealed that Hewlett-Packard and Dell EMC came in second and third, respectively. This is the first time that a Chinese company has secured the top spot in a global ranking by a well-known market research institution. Notably, three Chinese firms—including Inspur—were among the top six global server vendors in terms of market share. Gartner attributes this rapid growth to the fact that Chinese manufacturers have effectively capitalized on the shift toward cloud computing. By investing heavily in research and development and aligning with industry trends, they have managed to gain a stronger foothold in the global market. From another perspective, it's unrealistic for foreign companies to completely exclude Chinese PCs and servers. These products are not only cost-effective but also increasingly competitive in terms of performance and innovation. As more businesses look for reliable and affordable solutions, the presence of Chinese manufacturers in the global server and PC markets continues to grow. With their growing influence and technological advancements, it's clear that Chinese companies are no longer just regional players—they're now key players on the global stage.
