Grasping cloud computing changes: domestic servers dominate the world
In addition to making significant progress in the consumer PC market, domestic manufacturers have also shown strong performance in the server sector. According to the latest data from Gartner, a leading market research firm, Inspur ranked among the top globally in cloud server sales during the third quarter of 2017. This marks a major milestone for Chinese companies in the international server market.
The report also revealed that Hewlett-Packard and Dell EMC came in second and third, respectively. This is the first time that a Chinese company has secured the top spot in a global ranking by a well-known market research institution. Notably, three Chinese firms—including Inspur—were among the top six global server vendors in terms of market share.
