Artificial intelligence is currently a hot topic, with facial recognition and voice control being key components of the technology. Voice recognition has matured significantly, with products like the traditional LD3220, the voice recognition system from the University of Science and Technology, and Baidu's DuerOS becoming widely used. In this project, we're building a DIY car that uses the LD3220-based speech recognition module to enable voice-controlled movement. Let’s take a look at the whole design. Below is the installation section. Parts of the car chassis. Close-up of the two wheels. Completed chassis assembly diagram. Top view of the small car. Side view of the trolley — the oversized wheels are very noticeable. The space above is quite spacious, so I thought about how to make it useful. Let me talk about the control system. Power Source: Millet Charging Treasure 10000mAh, output 2A Control System: STM32F103 + LD3220 voice recognition module Drive Module: L298N motor driver module System Workflow Briefly Explained: The LD3220 is programmed to recognize specific voice commands. When a keyword is detected, it sends a signal to the STM32 microcontroller. The MCU processes the signal and sends different control commands to the L298N, which in turn controls the motors for forward, backward, left, right, or stop movements.
