The Sanyo LA7693X series super chip combines the original single-chip TV small signal processor LA76820 and the microprocessor LC85F4538 into one chip. This chip is widely used in popular color TV models such as Sanyo CK14/CK21D/CK25D (Puping TV series), CK15F/CK21F/CK25F/CK29F (flat panel TV series), and others. In China, the main Sanyo LA super chips include LA76930E and LA76932E. These chips have identical internal circuit structures and pin layouts, with the primary difference being the variation in the CPU's ROM memory and the user's RAM memory. The LA76930 has an external crystal frequency of 32kHz for 21-inch color TVs, while the LA76932 uses a 32.768kHz external crystal frequency for larger screens like 26/29/34 inches.

The super chip LA76932 comprises three key components: the TV signal processor, the microcontroller, and the on-screen OSD (On-Screen Display). A typical application circuit is illustrated below.

I. TV Signal Processing Section: * High-gain IF amplifier with fast AGC control (three-stage gain up to 65dB). * Video demodulation achieved through a PLL (Phase-Locked Loop) synchronous detector, eliminating the need for adjustments. * PLL phase-locked loop audio IF demodulation reduces internal carrier reception buzz, enhancing sound quality. * Built-in video and audio AV/TV switch selector. * Chrominance signal trap, bandpass filter, and skin-tone correction circuits. * Built-in brightness delay line, aperture correction circuit, nuclear noise reduction circuit, and black-level extension circuit, which significantly improves image quality. * PAL/NTSC color signal demodulation with a single crystal, SECAM color difference interface, and a debug-free SECAM decoder chip (LA7642), enabling decoding of PAL/NTSC/SECAM three-color systems. * Built-in 1H baseband delay circuit. * Integrated automatic dynamic balance AKB system, ensuring continuous white balance correction. * Field scanning circuit with dual automatic frequency adjustment and 50/60Hz automatic recognition, maintaining a constant field picture size even without a signal.

II. Microcontroller Control Section: * Built-in 3 oscillators: RC oscillator for system clock, VCO (Voltage-Controlled Oscillator) for system clock and OSD clock, and an external crystal oscillator for time-base timing, system clock, and PLL phase-locked loop control reference clock with a frequency of 32.768kHz. * CPU execution instruction cycle time is 0.848μs, with a bus cycle time of 0.424μs; programming ROM capacity is 32kB, CGROM capacity is 16kB, RAM capacity is 512B, and on-screen display (OSD) RAM is 352×9 bits. * Integrated 5-channel 8-bit DAC, 3-channel 7-bit PWM output, two 16-bit timers/counters, one 14-bit timebase timer, one 8-bit synchronous serial interface, and an I2C bus-compatible interface; featuring ROM correction function, 15 interrupt sources, and 9 card quantization interrupt systems, along with fully integrated system and display clock generators, utilizing PLL control mode for the crystal clock.

III. OSD Display Features: * Character screen display: 36×16 dot matrix (configurable via software), display range of 36 dots×8 lines, control range of 8 dots×8 lines, maximum display characters of 252, divided into 16×7 dot matrix and 8×9 dot matrix sections. * Supports 16 colors and 16 background colors, with 16 options for character edge/shadow colors, offering smooth, underlined, and italic text effects. * Can display characters, Chinese, and English languages.
