On the other hand, a tailored system for service inventions in AI allows researchers to receive material rewards, encouraging continuous innovation. Furthermore, improving the commercialization rate of AI technologies depends heavily on the flow of market factors facilitated by the IP system. By designing laws that promote the transfer, licensing, and securitization of AI patents, market vitality can be stimulated, leading to more real-world applications of AI. This ensures that AI innovations move beyond the lab and into everyday life, offering real value and convenience to users. It’s also important to recognize that the AI market is global and highly competitive. To stay ahead, China must develop a scientific analytical mechanism and an early warning system that keeps track of international trends. Maintaining a strong and high-quality portfolio of AI-related IP will help China remain competitive in the global arena. The protection of AI-generated results is equally critical. In addition to traditional legal and administrative measures, AI itself can play a role in self-protection—such as automatically rejecting unauthorized usage or tracking infringement. However, there are limits to how much AI should be protected. Overly broad patent coverage could stifle innovation by limiting access to key technical solutions. Therefore, a balanced approach is necessary to ensure fair competition and continued progress. Artificial intelligence has now become a major industry trend, shaping the future of humanity in profound ways. Countries around the world are investing heavily to gain a strategic advantage.
