Energy-saving lamps will be out of date! From next year, LED lamps that are shining on the streets will be "iron-clad" into the room, and they will be replaced for free. However, the province's enterprises and institutions will first drink the first soup, promoted to the masses after the pilot home. By 2015, LED lighting will account for 30% of the province's interior lighting. This was introduced yesterday by Li Xinghua, director of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Science and Technology, who led the team to the Guangdong “people’s voice hotline”.

The Guangdong Provincial Government just announced last month that during the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” period, it will provide 22 billion yuan to support the development of strategic emerging industries within five years, of which 3 billion will solve the core technological issues of strategic emerging industries. These financial support will focus on biomedical, new materials, solar photovoltaic, nuclear power equipment, wind power, energy saving and environmental protection, aerospace, marine eight fields, and LED lighting, high-end electronic information and new energy vehicles, is its three major breakthroughs.

Li Xinghua said that as of now, the first batch of projects is accepting applications. Each project has received an average support of 10 million yuan, and the best projects have reached 30 million to 50 million yuan.
