The 1979 Kenwood KR-9050 Receiver, retailed for $1,250.00 and has the distinction of being the most

powerful receiver ever fielded by Kenwood at 200 w/ch RMS. It directly followed the legendary KR-9600

and was largely overlooked, although it had a high power rating by 40 w/ch RMS.

In addition to the prodigious power output, the KR-9050 also incorporated Kenwood's most advanced

tuner Technology, including switchable IF Bandwidth. To keep the power amp. section cool, most of inside

is comprised of a massive heatsink.
